Day 1
Scheduled flight to Bari and arrival in the city during the early afternoon. Transfer by private coach to the Gravina di Puglia, a spectacular example of an eroded valley with spectacular grottoes hollowed in the tuff. Visit to the Pomarici Santomasi Museum and on to Matera. Check in at Locanda di San Martino, dinner free, and overnight in the hotel.

Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel. Walk to discover the "Sassi"- or stones - of Matera, declared a "Heritage of Humanity" by UNESCO in 1986, and access to the Sasso Caveoso. Lunch at leisure (not included). Visit to the Church of St. Biagio and St. John the Baptist (1233) and the Ridola Museum. Dinner free and overnight in the hotel.

Day 3
Breakfast at the hotel. A walk to the Tramontano Castle (16 th century ) and completion of the itinerary among the " Sassi ". Visit to the National Museum of Medieval and Modern Art, the Church of St. Francis, and the Church of Purgatory. During the afternoon, continuation of the exploration of the Rupe dell'Idris, of the Church of Santa Maria de' Armenis and the Cave Church of Santa Barbara, a true Byzantine church-basilica (9th -10th centuries). Dinner free. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 4
Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion in private coach to Gioia del Colle, visit to the Castle and to the Cryptological Complex of Pertruscio, in Mottola , one of the "capitals" of cave civilizations. Lunch free in Mottola. During the afternoon, an excursion to the Natural History and Archaeological Part of the Murgia and the cave churches of Materano. Return to Matera. Dinner at leisure (not included). Overnight in the hotel.

Day 5
Breakfast and check-out from the hotel. Transfer by private coach to Castel del Monte, tour of the town and transfer to Ruvo di Puglia. Visit to the Romanesque Cathedral (1100) and on to the airport of Bari Palese and departure with scheduled flight.
