Departure from Sibenik for Zara, with its historic district that still maintains the appearance and appeal of an ancient Mediterranean city, even though it has been reconstructed several times. Walk around the city surrounded by imposing walls: The Gothic palaces, the 13th century convent of Saint Dominic, the Gothic church of St. Michael, the church of St Mary with its wonderful Romanesque bell towers, the Herb Square and the Cathedral of St. Anastasia with its splendid Italian Romanesque air.
The day ends with a glass of the famous Maraschino liqueur of Zara.

Departure from Zara and transfer by boat to the Isle of RAB and a tour of the historic district. Return to the mainland and a brief stop in FIUME. On towards ABBAZIA, a city built around the Church of St. Jacob, offering magnificent views of the Istrian coastline. Its historic district is a fascinating fabric of hilly streets, cobbled alleys, and pastel-coloured houses decorated with stone ornaments. The trip continues until our arrival at POLA, the main regional city rich in Roman ruins. Of particular interest are the Gemina Gate from the 2nd century B.C. and the Herculean Gate and the Sergi Arch from the 1st century B.C. The Rome and Augustus Temples, which was initially a Byzantine Church and then a granary, is well conserved as worth a visit.
