Day 1
Departure with a scheduled flight for Budapest. Upon arrival, a quick spin of the city in private coach and transfer to the Museum of Fine Arts. Visit to the splendid permanent collection and to the temporary exhibits. Dinner in a downtown restaurant and sampling of typical Hungarian products accompanied by the famous Tokai wine. Later, for those who so wish, an evening stroll along the river.

Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel. A morning walk, crossing the Danube to visit Buda: the neo-Gothic church by Mattia, with assymetrical rhombus roofs and the chapel of St. Stephan with the treasure of the incoronation; the Bastion of the Fishermen with a view of Pest on the opposite bank of the Danube; the Palace of Buda (Varpolota) in all its architectural and historical splendour, with the ancient towers and remains of the bastions. During the afternoon, visit to Budapest Történeti Múzeum dedicated to medieval art and the Magyar Gallery with modern and contemporary art. Visit to the Várhegy historic district of the castle, and a ride down the cable railway to the Bridge of Chains, the most beautiful of the city. A walk through the centre of Pest and a rest stop in a historic café. Dinner free and return to the hotel.

Day 3
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the ancient hot spring spas of Géllert. Lunch at leisure (not included). In the afternoon, a visit to the Hopp Ferenc Museum of Oriental Art, with its collection of more than 20,000 objects mostly from Japan and China.
Then a walk along the famous Váci pedestrian walkway, brimming with antiques dealers, craftsmen, and shops selling typical local products. A stop in the nearby Via Párizsi for tasting some Szamos marzipan and on to explore the side streets lined with ceramic shops and bookshops, arriving finally at the Great Covered Market, located in a 20th-century building. Before returning to the hotel, a walking tour of the Art Nouveau architecture of Pest.

Day 4
Breakfast at the hotel. During the morning, a tour of the city on board the famous Tram No. 2 that takes you from Jászai Mari Square across the city with an itinerary that offers a panoramic view of historical buildings, monuments, and some of the most beautiful sites of the city: the Parliament, the Academy of Science, the Bridge of Chains, the Elizabeth Bridge, the Gerard Hill and the Covered Market. Afternoon free for individual tours.

Day 5
Visit to the bend in the Danube by private coach and transfer to the town of Szentendre at the foot of Mount Visegrad, where the remains of the ancient kingdom of the Magyar kings still lie. The area, of great historic and artistic interest, proposes an interesting Baroque setting with typically Hungarian influence. Free time for lunch in the town. Climb up to the castle ruins for a bird's-eye view of the Hungary puska. During the late afternoon, transfer to the airport and return home with a scheduled flight.
